As a gay, cisgender man, Johann understands the importance of being authentic and true to oneself. He encourages his clients to feel comfortable and empowered to be their genuine selves during their sessions. He creates a space where clients can explore their inner selves without fear or reservation. Johann firmly believes in embracing his clients' identities and recognizes that affirming who they are can significantly impact their success in therapy.

Johann has clinical experience in both outpatient community-based and inpatient psychiatric facilities. He is an associate clinical social worker and is currently working to obtain his doctorate in Applied Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Johann is supervised by Dr. Katie Moore (PSY# 32941).

In addition to his therapeutic work, Johann is the director of a non-profit, community-based organization focused on providing culturally competent services to marginalized and underserved communities. He is a community leader actively involved with the LGBTQ+ Collective in Orange County.

Johann prides himself on approaching his clinical work without judgment and respecting each client’s unique experience.  He specializes in working with the LGBTQ+ community, Asian Americans, and those living with HIV/AIDS. Johann has experience working with clients who seek treatment for anxiety, depression, personality disorders, trauma, and mood disorders and focuses on an affirming approach to mental health services.

Hourly Rate: $40-$120/hour sliding scale fee (dependent on income)
