Hannah Miller, APCC, is a compassionate therapist who specializes in working with teens and adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, identity exploration, relationship challenges, anger, family conflict, cultural stress, and life transitions. She is particularly passionate about working with adults healing from trauma, men, and LGBTQIA+ clients, and is committed to providing LGBTQIA+ affirming care where every client feels respected, understood, and supported.
Hannah has a unique ability to build trusting relationships with clients who have struggled to connect with previous therapists or have been hesitant to seek therapy in the past. She believes that genuine connection is the foundation of effective therapy, and her direct, down-to-earth style, combined with humor and compassion, helps clients feel comfortable enough to be themselves without fear of judgment.
Hannah's primary treatment approach is Person-Centered Therapy while incorporating EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and other evidence-based approaches based on each client's individual needs. She works collaboratively with clients to better understand the beliefs they have developed about themselves, the experiences that shaped those beliefs, and the protective patterns that may no longer be serving them. Together, they work toward building self-compassion, processing difficult experiences, and creating lasting change.
One quote Hannah helps clients to understand that while they can't change what has happened in the past, they can start working now to change the future. She believes every person has inherent dignity, value, and worth, even if life experiences have led them to believe otherwise. By letting go of shame, unrealistic expectations, and unhelpful beliefs, clients can build lives that feel more authentic, meaningful, and fulfilling.
Supervised by Fae Feliciano, LCSW (LCSW #103952), Hannah provides telehealth therapy for clients throughout California. She is available Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. If you're looking for a therapist who is genuine, compassionate, direct, and isn't afraid to bring a little humor into the therapy room, Hannah would be honored to work alongside you.
