Sara Hoadley is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been practicing for over a decade. She specializes in adult ADHD therapy, sex therapy, and LGBTQ+ affirming therapy. She provides kink-affirming and polyamory-affirming care and works with both individuals and couples.
Much of her clinical work focuses on adults with ADHD navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, sleep difficulties, emotion regulation concerns, sexual health issues, relationship challenges, and “adulting” stress. She understands how ADHD can impact relationships, self-esteem, productivity, and overall mental health, and works collaboratively with clients to build practical, sustainable strategies.
Her approach is solution-focused and client-centered. Sara prioritizes collaboration, consent, and emotional safety in therapy. She checks in before exploring sensitive topics, reflects for accuracy, and invites feedback to ensure clients feel heard and respected. She approaches therapy with curiosity rather than judgment and recognizes clients as the experts on their own lives. She thoughtfully considers each client’s identity, cultural context, family system, neurodiversity, and lived experience.
Sara believes therapy should feel collaborative and empowering. She openly discusses green flags in therapy, such as clear boundaries, pacing, and mutual respect, and encourages clients to assess whether the fit feels right. Clients remain in control of what they share and can set boundaries at any time. If needed, she supports clients in finding care that better meets their needs.
Sara works primarily with emerging adults, college students, and adults, and currently provides telehealth therapy throughout California. She is a member of the LGBTQ+ community and is committed to inclusive, affirming mental health care.
She is currently working toward certification as a sex therapist and looks forward to completing that process in the coming months.
