Tia Trinh approaches therapy with a focus on being fully present and engaged with each client. She prioritizes listening closely, understanding each person’s experience, and creating a space where clients feel comfortable opening up without pressure or judgment.
Tia earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of California Irvine. She is passionate about building strong, supportive relationships and helping clients develop skills that lead to meaningful, lasting change.
Her approach is grounded in empathy, patience, and collaboration. Tia believes that therapy works best when clients feel genuinely supported, and she focuses on creating an environment where people can explore their thoughts and experiences at their own pace. She values consistency, reliability, and showing up in a way that clients can trust.
As a Vietnamese-American, Tia brings an understanding of the role culture, community, and values can play in shaping a person’s experiences. These perspectives inform her commitment to approaching clients with respect, compassion, and openness.
Tia is especially interested in supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community and is committed to providing affirming care. She is actively learning more about the history and experiences of this community to better support the individuals she works with.
Three things Tia values about this work are (1) building meaningful connections, (2) supporting others through challenges, and (3) continuing to grow as both a person and a clinician. She is supervised by Dr. Liane Roberts, PsyD (PSY #36228).
If you are unsure about starting therapy, Tia focuses on creating a comfortable, low-pressure space where you can take things one step at a time. Her goal is to meet you where you are and support you in moving forward in a way that feels manageable.
