Myrna is a warm, trauma-informed therapist who creates a supportive, affirming space for children, teens, adults, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, identity, and life transitions. She offers virtual therapy across California through Affirming Psychological Services.

Myrna is especially passionate about working with LGBTQ+ youth, multicultural and immigrant families, and neurodivergent clients, including those with Autism and ADHD. As an Arab American and a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, she brings both lived experience and clinical insight to her work. She is committed to cultural humility and honors the intersections of identity that shape each client’s story.

Her clinical work is grounded in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and she is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). With younger clients, Myrna often incorporates play-based and creative interventions, such as art therapy and mindfulness tools, to help them express emotions, build coping skills, and strengthen emotional regulation. Her approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and developmentally appropriate, meeting each client where they are and working at a pace that feels safe.

Myrna also has experience conducting psychological assessments and brings a thoughtful, trauma-aware lens to both therapy and testing. She supports clients struggling with trauma-related disorders, depression, anxiety, and neurodevelopmental concerns.

Myrna earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Youngstown State University and her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where she is currently completing her PsyD in Clinical Psychology.

Hourly Rate: $40-$150/hour sliding scale fee (dependent on income)
